About me
01.Education
Jimmy attended Brock University - Goodman School of Business where he graduated along side the class of 2016 with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration holding a concentration in Finance. During his time at the university, he was actively involved as a leader in his role as Senior Mentor as part of an initiative launched by Brock's career services. He has passed level 2 of the CFA exam in June 2017 and is currently pursuing his CPA.
02. Work Experience
Jimmy joined Siemens Canada Limited in his final year of university as a Junior Financial Analyst. He worked full-time while completing his final program requirements. He had also passed level 1 and 2 of the CFA exams while working full-time and attributing to his exceptional time management skills, he did not feel the need to request personal leave and ensured his work performance did not suffer at the expense of his pursuits. He has since worked as a Financial Analyst for three years before starting his current FP&A Financial Analyst role focusing in analytics at Sobeys Inc.
03. Personal Time
Jimmy is constantly striving to create the best version of himself. Previously investing well-over 600 hours in the CFA exams, he has decided that FP&A is of more interest and is currently dedicating most of his personal time in his pursuit. He is a big believer in efficiency and is actively learning VBA in excel to implement automation wherever possible. He is a former competitive powerlifter but now works out strictly for health and longevity. He enjoys a good ralley in both tennis and table tennis, playing the guitar, reading about menswear, and diving out of his comfort zone by partaking in new experiences.
